"All Consuming" centers around a simple white stool, inviting you to become part of its story. As you take your place, you initially find comfort, focused on the pillowy surface of the stool underneath you. As you begin to explore your environment, a sea of Styrofoam and tangled receipts engulfs you, each item a poignant symbol of your relentless consumption. Stretching endlessly, the installation overwhelms with its vast display of discarded Styrofoam that defies decomposition, underscoring the enduring impact of our ‘bigger, better, more’ culture on the environment.

Amidst these relics of convenience, crumpled receipts weave a tapestry of transient desires, a stark commentary on our endless quest for immediate gratification. Sitting among these reminders, you are compelled to feel their oppressive metaphorical weight, stirring discomfort and prompting introspection. The stool offers a solitary point of calm within the chaos, a space for reflection on the vast implications of our consumer habits. This experience is not just visual; it's visceral, asking you to confront the harsh realities of overconsumption and its role in driving environmental degradation and social inequality. "All Consuming" serves as a powerful critique of our complacency, challenging us to acknowledge our part in these global issues and urging us towards more sustainable and just practices. Through this immersive setup, the installation emphasizes that our collective actions contribute to shaping our world, highlighting the urgency of reevaluating our lifestyles for the sake of a healthier planet, community and self.
